The buzz words of today. I aim to provide the best possible practice to the private sector. If there is anything that I can do to be of service, to improve current services or implement services, then please let me know. Feedback can only improve the service that I can offer to you and your patients.

Quality Assurance is a constant process.  All cases of gynaecological cancer treated by members of the Queensland Centre for Gynaecological Cancer, of which I am a member and Director, are reviewed at regular Tumour Board Meetings. These meetings take place on a weekly basis and alternate between the Mater Hospital, South Brisbane and the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, Herston.  At these meetings anatomical pathology is reviewed by some of the most senior gynaecological pathologists in the State including representatives from:

Mater Pathology

Queensland Health Pathology

Queensland Medical Laborotories (QML)

bullet

Sullivan & Nicolaides Pathology (S&N).

The patient's management is discussed in a multi-disciplinary forum involving Gynaecological Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists and Medical Oncologists and a treatment schema devised.

These meetings are variously attended by the Clinical Managers, Clinical Psychologists and Unit Nursing staff.  Input is encouraged from all present as it is recognised that first class patient management is a team process.  These are not strictly closed meetings.  However, non-members of the QCGC and referring doctors or patient's GP's are welcome by invitation.  Contact with me can provide time and venue information and directions on how to get to these meetings.
